Birmingham County FA, in association with The FA Licensed Coaches Club, are offering coaches extra support, information and guidance through access to online resources, session plans, interviews and coaching news, discounts on coaching courses and much more, by licensing with the Licensed Coaches? Club for free during April 2012.
The FA coaching pathway is now more varied than ever. Coaches can plot their own path with opportunities to become either a specialist youth or senior coach. Common to both strands is the importance of a life-long dedication to self improvement and learning. Resultantly, there is a recognition that support and advice must extend beyond course attendance. For those that want to learn more, there must be the opportunity to do so.
The FA Licensed Coaches? Club aims to raise the profile of coaching as a profession and help the continued development of innovative coaches who are excellent teachers of the game. Through commitment to continued professional development, up-to-date learning and adherence to good practice, The Licensed Coaches? Club stands for reliance, trust and credibility within the game. Clubs, players and parents will have the assurance that their coach is suitably qualified and trained to manage a coaching programme.

?Birmingham County Football Association are delighted to work with The Albion Foundation. Through our programme of work in the Black Country, The Albion Foundation have been doing a fantastic job supporting the County Football Association, specifically through providing coach education opportunities.
Linked into the FA National Game Strategy, Goal 3 which highlights developing better players, we are committed to supporting and developing the next generation of talented players. However without the possibility of developing our grassroots coaches this will not occur.
We are keen to link all coach education centres and organisations to develop coaches and see them through their continual professional development (CPD) on an ongoing basis. We continue to work with The Albion Foundation and hope to continue to do so in the future.?
