Question by avelino_andretti: How do I use my PC to answer phone calls? No VoIP, POTS.?
I want to use my headset connected to my PC to answer phone calls. My PC as a modem RJ 45 socket. I dont want to use any VOIP solution. I know it should be possible because I?ve received faxes with my PC so it should be something similar
I want to receive a call, it is a long conference call and I want to have my hands free to work on the computer.

Anyway I found out that my modem does not support voice.
So I am out of luck.

Why not VOIP?
Because my internet connection sucks. And I dont trust skype

Fax and Voice are not similar. You were able to receive faxes because you have a fax communications software on your computer to do so. If you want to do voice, you need some kind of voice communications software, which I do not think exists.
