In Episode 616 of ?The Livin? La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,? we?ve got a neuropsychologist and eating disorder specialist named Dr. J. Renae Norton joining us to talk about the reality of eating disorders. On her web site web site, Dr. Norton states: ?Our mission is to provide a warm and safe environment where the individual with anorexia, bulimia, obesity or an emotional eating disorder, can get the help she needs to establish and/or restore healthy relationships.? These eating disorders have not been adequately treated in the proper customized, holistic manner for the individual as they should be.
That?s why Dr. Norton has become so vested in helping people through her practice in Cincinnati, Ohio called the Norton Center for Eating Disorders & Obesity where she has a true passion for helping kids avoid falling into the eating disorder trap. She?s written the first in a series of children?s books on this subject called How Maji Gets Mongo Off the Couch!. The ?one-size-fits-all? approach for treating people with eating disorders is that much worse because it delays the healing process from beginning sooner than later. Listen in as I talk with Dr. Norton about the growing epidemic of eating disorders and what she does to help heal her patients from this. ENJOY this engaging conversation!
